Why can't I push the button?

Posted by Rik on August 03, 2007

Reminds me of a great Challenger joke:

What was the last thing Christa McAuliffe said?

"What does this button do?"

Posted by Avitable on August 03, 2007

Doooooo it. Push it! You must! For thou art Bad Monkey! If you don't push it you'll have to be called Good Monkey, and no one wants that.

Posted by James on August 03, 2007

I have this feeling that Bad Monkey and I are thinking the exact same thing....and would do the same thing!

Posted by Hilly on August 03, 2007

Go on Bad Monkey PUSH the button!!!

Posted by iddly on August 03, 2007

arghh! I need to press the button!

Posted by kazza on August 03, 2007

"It's the history-eraser button, you fool!"

"But what'll happen?"

"Maybe something bad. Maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, because you're going to guard it. You won't touch it will you?"

Posted by carlos on August 03, 2007

I'D TOTALLY PUSH IT!!!

Posted by The Chad on August 04, 2007

Ok - I'll admit it... I'm a "do-not-push-this-button--button-pusher" kind o' guy.

I just want to know how many people actually end up trying to push that button.

P.S. I did! :D

Posted by Baak on August 04, 2007

Nothing happens when I push it :(

Posted by Neil T. on August 04, 2007

But...but...but...
The button is RED. And it's ROUND. And it's STARING AT ME. It WANTS ME TO PUSH IT.

Ouch, this is causing me physical pain, this not pushing the button.

Posted by karla on August 04, 2007

Do it!

Posted by Bre on August 04, 2007

I thought we had an interactive post this morning... I so wanted to push that button.

Posted by ~jtm on August 04, 2007

You won a RFS Blog Award!
Woot!

Posted by christie on August 04, 2007

Bad boys (err, ahh, I mean monkeys) always push the button....after contemplating, considering, and a scratch of the head. Oh, and by the way, don't smoke weed, drink, go to bed late, skip school, eat junk food, or hang around bad monkeys either. Don't do it!

Posted by Lewis on August 04, 2007

what a tease not making it pushable.

Posted by Andy on August 04, 2007

I feel for the monkey, but I don't think I would push it. I don't even think I'd be tested.
This thing is like a Rorshach test. Rorshach button. Rorshach blog.

Posted by Roberta on August 04, 2007

Tempted. I meant to say tempted. Not tested. Dammit! I am three sips into my first cup of coffee.

Posted by Roberta on August 04, 2007

Ok.

Posted by RW on August 04, 2007

I pushed it and the power went off in my apartment for a few seconds. Please disable this ability going forward.

Posted by holygirl427 on August 04, 2007

Hey, they wouldn't have made it big and red if they didn't want it to be fondled.

Posted by MRKisThatKid on August 04, 2007

This was a test. If the sign said, "Press this button" Bad Monkey (BM) wouldn't press it. As it is, BM wants to press it because he is told not to. All because he is a BM...
Methinks I'll wear my BM T-shirt today. All because my wife wouldn't want me to wear it.

Posted by bogup on August 04, 2007

is the button "luck"? Because you're pushing it now.

Posted by Wayne on August 04, 2007

That button should have a link attached to it. You know we pushed it.

Posted by plink on August 04, 2007

And whatever you do... don't think about pink elephants while you're deciding. Totally screws the whole thing up!

Posted by Rick on August 04, 2007

What!? The %*(@#^( thing isn't pushable? *Sigh* I right clicked anyway. Hey I learned from Adam never click link without checking it out first. Could be donkey porn ya know.

Posted by Fogspinner on August 04, 2007

Is someone pushing your button, Dave?

Posted by Mike on August 04, 2007

Oh man, you know I had the same reaction as everyone else.
Jerk.

Posted by diane on August 04, 2007

Do it, Bad Monkey! Do it!

Posted by Iron Fist on August 04, 2007

PUSH IT. PUSH.THE.BUTTON. PUSH IT!

Posted by Tracy Lynn on August 04, 2007

Hmmmm... Is this the computer/virtual version of the Garden of Eden? Apples are round and red, too :)

Posted by Jill on August 04, 2007

I'm keeping my puppy home today...

Posted by In her own Voice on August 04, 2007

THAT'S NOT A BUTTON! IT'S A GLORYHOLE FOR LEGOPEOPLE!

my god, if you get that, i will have no respect for you.

Posted by brandon on August 04, 2007

Funny how a simple picture gets more comments than some of your recent full-length posts =)

That's the power of curiosity for you..

Posted by Cheeseycom on August 04, 2007

So, is this going to be one of those multiple-drawings-over-several-days posts or are you just winding up all of your readers? 'Cause you know we're all the type to push the button, otherwise we wouldn't be here reading you, would we?

Posted by Caffeinated Librarian on August 04, 2007

Actually, it never occurred to me that anybody would try to push the button. Because it's not a button... it's a cartoon drawing!

I had an important decision to make yesterday, and thought it would be nice if somebody else had a big decision too.

Even if it was just a fictional monkey.

Posted by Dave2 on August 04, 2007

I was hoping that when I clicked on the red button, my desktop PC would turn into a Mac laptop. You never know. You are pretty good at those drawings.

Posted by Catherine on August 05, 2007

I hope your important decision ends up working out for you.

Posted by Avitable on August 05, 2007

So did you? Er... monkey?

Posted by kapgar on August 05, 2007

I feel so totally stupid now. It never occured to me to try to push the button. I may have missed out on something good.
Can people do exercises to exercise and improve their curiosity?

Posted by Jacki on August 05, 2007

Are you a Terry Pratchett fan? :) This little toon reminds me of the wizards of Ankh-Morpork.

Posted by Melanie on August 06, 2007

I pushed the button and my bra came undone. What the hey?
