Parking

Posted on Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Dave! What kind of total douchebag do you have to be to park your massive motorhome sideways across SIX individual parking spaces? Before you answer, I am compelled to mention that there is a huge lot with motorhome parking just across the street. But heaven forbid you should have to walk across the street when you can screw over SIX people so you can park wherever the hell you want to.

I know I shouldn't be shocked at the depths people will sink to make their lives more convenient at the expense of others, but this kind of blatant ass-hattery never ceases to amaze me. People just don't care. They don't care about other people, and they certainly don't care about what anybody else thinks of them. I'd imagine this is out of self-preservation, because if they cared about the things other people say when they're being a douche, they'd probably jump off a cliff. Far easier to just be a dickwad and not care, I guess.

And yet these people are undoubtedly the first to have a hissy fit when somebody else inconveniences them.

The maximum levels of hypocrisy, apathy, and overall douchebaggery this world can endure before we reach a tipping point is rapidly approaching. It's only a matter of time before somebody has had enough with people's bullshit, and takes matters into their own hands. They'll see some asshole parked across six parking spaces and just lose it. They'll then take a wad of explosives out of the back of their car that they've been saving for just such an occasion... and explode the ever-loving-shit out of that motorhome pile of crap. And then they'll dance around the smoldering remains while laughing their ass off.

I really hope that person doesn't end up being me.

Unless... isn't that kind of how Batman got started?

  1. That kind of sounds like what I blogged about today, only mine was mostly how people treat their service workers like crap. Last week we had a client “forget” to tell us her house was infested with lice just so she wouldn’t have to clean it herself!! How douchey is that?!?

    I care.

Maybe they are old and arthritic and their motor home is the last little bit of fun and excitement they have in their lives…

Just about every Wal-Mart parking lot here in Utah has at least 2 of these oversized motor homes taking up multiple parking spots. Yet, the security guy that drives around the parking lot 20 times a day, does nothing.

Something is wrong with this picture.

See – I’m kind of all for vigilante justice!!
But I’m on a complete hate relationship with the world right now.

People always get pissy with me when I drone on and on about how I hate SUVs. I’m sorry but I just do. When I lived in SoCal, almost every person had this huge ass SUV that took up more than one space in the parking lot, making it impossible for other people to park. Of course, SoCal was also filled with douchebags parking their new Benzos across a couple of spots as well. It’s truly selfish to think that YOUR CAR is more important than everyone else’s. What if all of the handicap spots are taken but you block five of the closest regular spots to the entrance? I mean, pffft.

Motor homes should be illegal anyway. You go to a scenic place and you can’t see a damned thing but motor homes. And they always have to park up close to the gift shop to save steps. These vehicles should have to pay a surcharge every time they gas up. For christ’s sake, stay in a hotel you goddamned glutton.

Please let me know where I can signup to be Robin, Batman.

    Dave:

Funny you mention this. Last year I salvaged an old motorhome from going to the junkyard. My family and I are sick of going to overpriced hotels and tired of packing our cars full to go camping. Of course the old motorhome doesn’t look like much but I can’t wait to get out in it. After driving the darn thing I see where people hog up spaces simply to avoid backing up. Mine isn’t that big, about the size of the smaller U-haul trucks, but backing up is a total shot in the dark if you don’t know what in hell you are doing. If you’re not a good driver with a car I can see where they would be douchbags and avoid parking.

As for the above comment my motorhome gets the same gas mileage as my gas powered car. It would be like making buses and delivery trucks illegal. Weird thing to suggest. Staying a hotel simply shifts the gluttony to a different power source.

  11. It all boils down to the following two words: People. Suck.

    Except for us. We rule.

  12. You’re gonna need a British butler as well. And there I was thinking I would always be the actual super hero. Oh well, butler to a super hero isn’t that bad of a gig I guess.

I think that might be how the Joker started.

Wait a minute, that gives me an idea for a post…
