Legofication

Posted on Thursday, November 23rd, 2006

Dave!Gee... I could write just about anything today and it wouldn't make a lick of difference. Everybody is eating turkey instead of surfing the internet and reading blogs. I, being a vegetarian, don't eat turkey and so I've got nothing better to do.

Neil has declared today as "Thank Your First Commenter Day" which is kind of nifty. Truth to tell though, I had no idea who my first commenter might be. Turns out that once you get rid of the back-and-forth testing between Bad Robert and myself, my first "real" commenter is Kazza. That's cool because, while commenters come and go, Kazza is still around. The fact that she's still blogging is kind of a bonus...

Kazza Lego
Awwwww... it's Lego Lil' Dave!

Well, one good Legofication deserves another...

Dave Kazza Lego

And now I'm off to finish some work so I can watch tonight's special edition of Grey's Anatomy. I'm hoping somebody dies...

    *Goes to find Legos*

    *Remembers they are in storage*

*Goes to play some Quake 4*

And yes, I’m full to the brim with turkey and stuffing and gravy and pumpkin pie…

  2. diane says:

Rats, I was hoping I would be the first non-food-coma ‘net-surfing-reader to comment.
I get really bad digestive issues sometimes when I fly. I was in bed today during dinner and ate ramen for my first meal at about 8pm. It was surreal. Good thing I had my pumpkin pie last night before bed! 🙂

  3. Mooselet says:

Wish I could say I was in a tryptophan-induced coma, but alas no. Too hot over in Brisbane to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner, so I don’t. Helps I don’t like to cook and use any excuse.

    Legos are the best.

  4. nick sizzle says:

    i’m veggie too.
    have you ever had tofurkey?
    mmmmmm…..
and some vegan thing called “dinner roast.”
i think that it’s by worthington foods, but i don’t remember.

  5. Kapha says:

I hear Soylent Green is another good alternative. No, wait…

Hey, did Lil’ Dave’s shoes suddenly go 3D or is that just me?

  6. timothy says:

My first commenter would have to be Nicole. I kind of fell out of the blogosphere when I moved back to Uganda. Having internet at home is super-expensive, and since I am not super-rich, I have to make due with limited access at school. I wish I had a clever Dave logo icon to show you. I did wear my ‘Bad monkey!’ t-shirt last weekend. No photo.

  7. Troy says:

Why are all episodes of Grey’s Anatomy a “special edition”? Just like every episode of “Lost” will be the one that “changes everything”!!!!

    Stupid networks 🙂

  8. LEGOS!!!

As for Grey’s I thought the opening sequence was incredible-really beautifully shot. I am not ashamed to say I rewound the part where Callie threw Meredith against the wall and watched it *multiple* times. I’ve always maintained that someone needed to kick her bony butt and at last my dreams were (partially) answered.

  9. Laurence says:

    Wow… It’s very sweet! A legofication established your reputation as a great blogger !!! It’s a kind of apotheosis of Lil’Dave !!! 🙂

    PS. What, what, what ? A special edition of Grey’s Anatomy… Oh, I’m so jealous !!! 😀
PPS. If nobody dies, it isn’t a episode of Grey’s Anatomy ! 😉

  10. Bre says:

Once upon a time legos lived in this house. And then I stepped on them in bare feet and they went to live in the trash bin. The end.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  11. Janelle says:

I LOVED Grey’s Anatomy last night! This season has been just a little stale for me, but last night rocked! When Burk shut the door on Christine, I felt so bad for her. But why did she go to the chief after all? That SOOO was not her place! Anyways, looks like the show will once again become the rollercoaster I love!!

  12. Dave2 says:

James… If it were a choice between Lego and Quake… I don’t know what I would do!

Diane… My only digestive issues when flying are a result of airline food. But since they don’t provide food anymore, I guess I’ve got nothing to worry about!

Mooselet… I can cook a Tofurkey! But it’s a little big, and I don’t know anybody who would help me eat it.

Nick… Tofurkey is not so bad (stuffing included!) but I’ve only seen it in mega-size to feed a family. Since I’m the only one eating it, the stuff goes to waste. 🙁

Kapha… TOFURKEY IS PEOPLE!! The shoes are mostly 3-D… depends on how much time I have. 🙂

Timothy… Well it’s nice to know that teachers are underpaid everywhere! I would be depressed if it was just here in the States. 😛

Troy… No doubt. It’s all kind of lame. I guess this Grey’s was special because it was 10 minutes longer?

Frances… There are many times I’d like to punch Meredith in the face, so I was quite happy about it as well. 🙂

Laurence… It USED to be that people died on Grey’s all the time… but not so much anymore. Kind of kills the realism.

Bre… GAAAAAHH! AND SO IT’S THE POOR LEGO’S FAULT YOU DON’T OWN A PAIR OF SLIPPERS?!?? =sob!= The thought of Lego in the trash bin makes me sad. 🙂

Janelle… Christina felt that so long as she was there to assist Burke if he needed it, then it was okay to keep the secret. After he started pushing her away and insisting on doing things without her, she felt he was too dangerous to be left alone and had to be stopped.

  13. Melissa says:

I admire you for being a veggie. 🙂 I used to be one myself when I was younger, but I didn’t hold out. I’m pathetic, I know.

Ohhh another person who watches Grey’s Anatomy. ;D Yea!

    Happy belated Thanksgiving!

  14. nancycle says:

Dave, you are a good “veggie” and a good for acknowledging your first commenter!

She’s totally got your number re: Lego Dave. Omar was entirely impressed as well.

    GOOD ONE Kazza!

  15. Kevin says:

At this point, I’m hoping the death befalls George. I want to beat the living crap out of his arrogant ass. And he was my fave on that show last season. Sad. I like Alex more than George.

  16. Avitable says:

    That’s awesome.

And my wife’s vegetarian, but she can enjoy mashed potatoes and stuffing and pie. It’s not all about the turkey.

  17. kazza says:

omigosh! I come back from a weekend away and find that! egads!

makes me feel a little guilty for not blogging all weekend heh
