TequilaCon!

Posted on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

Dave!Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Jenny just released the dates for TequilaCon 2007... looks like we'll be meeting in lovely Portland, Oregon the weekend of March 10th! I'd say that I'm so happy I could crap my pants, but I have no desire to go through all that again.

TequilaCon promises to be one of the most memorable events of next year, and the reason I know this is because I will be there (probably wearing a Zombies T and my special edition Batman Chucks). So, if you are in the area (or even if you aren't) mark your calendar, then head on over to Jenny's blog for the details...

I can only hope that I escape from the event with my underpants this time.

  1. Dave2 says:

Thanks to Andrew Stottsan for allowing me to use his beautiful photo, by the way.

  2. adena says:

Well, how could I NOT be there?? Yay, Portland!!

  3. jenny says:

Hooray! So glad you’ll be able to make it, Dave! I look forward to seeing the Batman Chucks once again. Portland will never be quite the same after TequilaCon ’07…

  4. Kevin says:

I’m hoping to go, but it’s still too early to know for sure. Money is always an issue as well.

  5. Karl says:

    I’m there! Can’t wait.

  6. Dave2 says:

Adena… Considering you’re practically NEXT DOOR, you’d BETTER be there or else we’re going to come and get you!

Jenny… Oh I am SO there. You just name the time and place!

Kevin… Money is no object! This is TEQUILACON for heaven’s sake!! Gas will probably be at $5 a gallon which means it will cost me $300 to drive to Portland, but that’s okay! It’s TEQUILACON!!

Karl… I know what you mean. I wouldn’t be able to wait to see me either. 🙂

  7. SJ says:

My spastic brain can’t seem to grasp what a TequilaCon is, but I see the words “tequila,” “blog” and “Dave2.”

    I’m in.

  8. Dave2 says:

TequilaCon is simple. Fly to Portland, Oregon on March 10th. Meet up at the designated restaurant and/or bar at the specified tine. Drink tequila and/or other beverages of your choice. Hang out with cool blogger people and have fun. Sweet!

Jenny has a wrap-up of TequilaCon 2006: NYC.

  9. James says:

Well I’d say I’d love to come, since I live in Oregon, but I am neither a blogger or a legal-age drinker. I’m 17 now..would be 18 at the time of the TequilaCon..*sob*

  10. Dave2 says:

I don’t think that non-bloggers would be turned away if they wanted to stop by. 🙂

On top of that, most bloggers will undoubtedly be getting together throughout the weekend… not just at the main event. I personally hope to be in town on Thursday night, and don’t plan on leaving until Monday. So even if TequilaCon takes place at a bar instead of a restaurant with a bar, there will be other meet-ups… even bloggers got to eat! I’m sure as TequilaCon nears, more people will be posting their plans.

Soooo… don’t despair. TequilaCon is more than just drinking and losing your underwear… it’s a state of mind!

  11. Kapha says:

:: Still waiting for the Lost Underpants story… 😉 ::

  12. EDDIE says:

After my friend found me passed out on his bathroom floor after many many tequila shots, I never do tequila anymore. (It does not matter how good or expensive they are. It’s still tequila.)

Dave, do you plan to get drunk again?

  13. Jenny says:

Non-bloggers are most certainly welcome! We had 5 or 6 non-bloggers at the NYC event and no fights broke out and no arrests were made… 🙂

  14. Bre says:

Well, that’s clearly the other side of the country. And in my east coast nose in the air way, I’ll have to decline… largely because I’ve never even been to that coast before and that’s a bit scary, you know? But if you ever venture to “good side” you just let me know!

  15. yellojkt says:

Don’t think I can make it to Portland, but I’ll have some tequila that day in solidarity.

  16. Jeff says:

Stunning job on the bottle label! You should think about doing that for a living 😉

  17. Tequila…first liquor that made me throw up. Gettin’ misty here…

  18. ChillyWilly says:

Wow. Portland here I come… I’ve not been there since ’93, but hey… it will be fun to go back.

I think I can save up some money before then to make the trek.

As long as they have Patron Silver as my staple tequila, I’m good. I’ll even try some different types, but the PS seems to be the one that I can drink lots of without any after effects (well, at least the bad ones).

  19. The Chad says:

    Sweet! I live there!

  20. ms. sizzle says:

I can NOT wait! I was so despondent last time when I missed the east coast version. Go PacNW! Go Bloggers! Go Tequila!

Can we home with someone else’s undies?

  21. Eve says:

I’m a violent drunk. I doubt you’d want me there. I’m short, but I pack a mean punch.

  22. Kapha says:

:: curls up in cozy armchair with imaginary espresso, eagerly awaiting this now-raised-to-near-legendary-status Lost Underpants anecdote ::

Eve: It’s hard for me to imagine you as a violent drunk based on your avatar. 🙂
