Lost Blogging: UPDATE!

Posted on Thursday, April 13th, 2006

Dave!My historical "lost blogger" has been identified!

Congratulations to Firda and Alexis who wrote in with the correct identity within minutes of each other. They will each be receiving a fashionable T-shirts from the Artificial Duck Store for free!

But don't despair! You still have a chance to win a shirt of your own! You still only get ONE guess, but if you email the correct answer before midnight tomorrow (PST/Seattle Time), you'll be entered in a drawing to win a runner-up free-shirt coupon. Tomorrow's entry reveals even more tasty clues as to the identity, so you might want to wait until then before sending in your ONE guess! Good luck!

UPDATE: I should mention that everybody has a clean slate now. If you sent in a wrong guess before, you have another shot to get in the drawing if your new guess is correct.

Helpful Hint...
I am a very visual person. The best clues are NOT in the words... look elsewhere. EVERY SINGLE IMAGE ON THE PAGE MEANS SOMETHING. With the exception of the header and the header ad, everything is a clue!

  1. SJ says:

Just so you know, Bret says you are an evil genius bastard who is sitting at home cackling as we all go crazy trying to identify your guest blogger.

Huh. I didn’t even know you and Bret had met.

  2. Dave2 says:

    My evil reputation precedes me!

Excellent. I am most pleased! 🙂

  3. Jeff says:

Damn you! I felt so liberated after I had lost. Now I have to wrestle with this all over again. Damn you! Damn you I say!

  4. adena says:

I figured that the pictures were big clues. However, I still feel like a big moron, cuz I can’t figure it out. 🙁

  5. Dave2 says:

Jeff: Liberation from ME?!? Ha ha ha ha!

Adena: I’m quite cagey. Sometimes it’s what’s in the pictures… sometimes it’s the name of the person in the picture… sometimes it’s PART of the name of the person in the picture… sometimes it’s what the person in the picture did. Earlier entries were somewhat vague and more tricky, but later entries have vital information (if you know what to look for!).

  6. Cavan says:

Argh! This is killing me. I totally know what you’re referencing with the pictures of Eck, LadyDoc and Dizzy, but I just don’t know how it’s supposed to connect.

    Argh!

  7. Dave2 says:

Gee, if you figured out the connection like that in the Day 3 entry, you’d know everything!

    🙂

  8. SJ says:

Well, now I’m pissed at myself. I thought of this guy the other day when you had Marvin and Paris on, but figured that was really stretching it. Plus, I’d forgotten how much you also love that BLEEEEEEP!. If I just hadn’t focused so much on the entries themselves!!!

Talk about throwing us a bushel-basket of red herrings …

  9. Troy says:

My babe, Firda, got it. Sweet Jebus! Good stuff.

  10. Dave2 says:

And S.J. now has correctly guessed! Sorry I had to bleep you there, my friend… but we don’t want to give it all away just yet! 🙂

Yep. Not only does Firda design some of my favorite blog templates on the web, she’s also incredibly smart! She’s a keeper, Troy!

  11. rach says:

funny, i guess pacific standard time does apply to other states as well.

we californians can be so damned selfish. we also think we comprise the entire west coast.

you guys are up by alaska, right?

  12. Dave2 says:

Not everyone outside the USA might be familiar with “PST” (Pacific Standard Time) so I gave them a city that they can use to figure it out. Sure I could have used L.A. or any other west coast city, but Seattle is the nearest major city to me. 🙂

  13. RW says:

I am so out of this… I have no idea what you’re talking about. But whatever it is, I’m sure I’m missing out.

    Damn you Simmer…

  14. Chanakin says:

Man, was I heading in the wrong direction.

  15. Eve says:

Yippee for Pacific Standard Time! Thanks to PST, I was able to get my guess in before the deadline even thought it’s 1:25am here in New York. I wanted to guess after #4, but I figured I’d play it safe and wait for #5.

This has been a lot of fun!
