Mercy

Posted on Thursday, February 9th, 2006

Dave! After weeks of despair from not being able to find a downloadable torrent of the British version of Project Runway (which they call Project Catwalk), I checked again last night and found that episodes 2-4 were finally up. How much simpler would my life be if Sky One would just put them for sale on iTunes? I'd gladly pay the $1.99. You'd think that foreign television networks would jump at the chance to expand their distribution with something like this.

The silver lining here is that Showtime has finally jumped on the iTunes bandwagon and is offering episodes of Weeds for sale. That's pretty sweet, because I dropped the network after they canceled Dead Like Me, and haven't got to see it yet. Everybody I know loves the show, so I'm looking forward to it.

Anyway, time for a bit of a delicious Elizabeth Hurley break...

If I lived in the UK just now, I'd be able to tune in to the latest episode in just 4 minutes instead of waiting for the torrent later this week. Oh well. Just like Liz says... "fashion has no mercy."

And here I thought the “mercy” title was more of a “Mercy Me! Look at Liz!” sort of thing and not in reference to her quote. Or is it a little of both?

Speaking of iTunes, I saw that a-ha album that you wanted listed there with no designation about not being available in the U.S. (unless I’m missing something). May want to check back into it.

  2. Much to my dh’s dismay I am totally addicted to project runway, and I nearly cried when Nick got bumped off as opposed to Santino…he is totally Osama bin laden hiding out in the last place GWB will ever look!

I would love to see the Brittish version…But I am not going to pay for it…I am super cheap.

    🙂

I’ve had the flu 4 a couple of days, and now I’m addicted to reality TV.
Project runway. America’s next top model.
the sureal life. celebrity fit club. survivor.
    fear factor.
you’d be surprised what u can learn to live with when it comes to day-time television
HELP ME DAVE, I NEED AN INTERVENTION.
Ps. is there a 12-step program for couch potatos?

Kapgar: The title, like most things in life, had a dual meaning. 🙂 As far as I can tell, a-ha’s album Analogue is nowhere to be found. I check every Tuesday. 🙁

Jamie: The competition was a bit unfair. Nick is a brilliant designer for women, but was completely lost when it came to designing menswear. I agree Santino should have lost (that jumpsuit was BAD and falling apart!), but he has high entertainment value, which is why they keep him around. Crazy = Ratings.

Jube Jubes: The only reality shows I watch are Survivor and Project Catwalk/Runway… so I’m afraid I won’t be much help! My addiction comes in the form of Veronica Mars and Grey’s Anatomy.

  5. Yeah I agree that suit that Nick made was whack, but I thought the jumpsuit was WAAAAY worse..jmho..but I really liked Nick…so I am pouting.

I CANNOT stand reality TV…so when I do get addicted to a show I get really annoyed at myself.

Grey’s Anatomy is freaking awesome…I almost love it as much as I love E.R.!! That says alot comming from me!

Dave, if you want I’ll send you the Aha cd, I mean I AM in Norway……

And damn if I don’t miss PRoject Runway like my left arm has been cut off. I got to see 6 eps in the US, then came back here, and all I can do now is check the web and see what’s what. ( I can’t quite figure out bittorrent.)

Nick SO got screwed on that last one. Santino shoulda been voted off. I eman, a glued on jumpsuit? PULL-eeze.
