Poverty

Posted on Tuesday, June 29th, 2004

Dave!Yesterday I ordered my dream camera lens, the Canon 16-35mm Wide-Angle. Tomorrow is payday. That makes today the mid-point between spending money I didn't have, and collecting the money I already spent. What this all really means is that I am poor for the next several weeks. I may end up having to beg for food, but at least I'll be able to beautifully photograph my poverty with a $1400 lens.

Ack. I think I'm going to be sick.

I sure hope I take some amazing photos on my upcoming journeys to justify this obscene expenditure.

    I’m shivering for you 😉

Just don’t be surprised if, during my explorations of southern Utah next week, I detour to New Mexico and end up at your doorstep begging for a peanut butter sandwich!

  3. AGK says:

Cool for you! I’m just happy to be upgrading to a better digital…though still not the ONE I want.

  4. Dave2 says:

Really? I didn’t read anything about that on Adventure Journalist! Oh well… you could be using a cardboard box with a pin-hole and still take better photos than me (no matter how expensive the lens I’m shooting with).

  5. AGK says:

Trying to figure out if you were answering me above and confusing me with Tonya at AJ…

  6. Tonya says:

Don’t I wish it were me upgrading 😉

  7. Dave2 says:

I really shouldn’t do anything that involves using my brain at 2am… I was looking at the first comment while replying to the second! But I don’t see a mention of a new digital on YOUR site either! 🙂 New cameras all around!

  8. AGK says:

LOL – I’m the type that will talk about it once it’s in my hands.

  9. Dave2 says:

Hah! That’s because you are sensible (unlike myself)! I think when I ordered my camera, I bored everybody with daily updates until it arrived. 🙂
