Dave! Hanging in there.

Barely.

It's surprising how after a while the agonizing pain is not that big a deal... it's the nausea. That constant feeling that you're going to spew your cookies all over the place, even though you haven't eaten any cookies (or anything else for that matter)...

And yet... I seem to be adjusting to the medication hour by hour. I'm hoping that by tonight I'll be able to get back to Real Life. Which is a good thing, because I've got a flight to Salt Lake City I need to catch in the morning.

Dave, I was a hospital nurse for 7 years, and the one-and-only patient who ever came close to getting violent with me was a man in horrible pain with kidney stones. (He later apologized once his morphine kicked in.)

That is definitely one of the worst pains imaginable. Hope it "passes" soon. . .

Morphine has that affect on some. Rott loves it for getting rid of pain, but it does make him nauseous. Hope the stone is gone by morning. Flying in that condition will prolly be nasty.
